Joey Books is designed for adults to set up and manage for children. This policy explains how we handle account information, child profiles, reading activity, website analytics, subscriptions, and support requests.

Account Registration

Child Profile Page
Children do not create Joey Books accounts themselves. Parents or guardians create and manage accounts and child profiles.
If we process child-related information, we do so at the direction of a parent or guardian and only as needed to provide the Service. This may include child profile information such as your child's name, reading level, and reading buddy. We also collect reading activity and progress information through use of the Service.
Use of App
We collect information about how you use the service. This includes, how long a user accesses our Service, what content a user views, and what actions taken in the use of the Service. We collect which books are read, how long a user reads a book, and how many books are read. This information is used to improve the Service and to provide you with a better experience.
Website analytics and advertising measurement
Our public website for adults may use analytics and advertising measurement tools to understand visits, page views, and campaign performance. These tools are separate from the child reading experience inside Joey Books.
Subscriptions and Purchases
If you subscribe to Joey Books, we may receive and store information needed to verify your access, such as the store or payment provider, subscription status, transaction identifiers, renewal status, and expiry dates. Payment card details are handled by the relevant app store or payment provider and are not stored by Joey Books.

Account and data deletion requests
Parents can request access, correction, or deletion of account and child-profile data by emailing hello@readwithjoey.com from the account-linked address.
We may need to verify your request before acting on it. Deleting the app or cancelling a subscription does not automatically delete your account or personal information.
We may retain limited information where necessary for security, legal, billing, dispute resolution, or record-keeping purposes.
Children’s Privacy
We do not permit children under 13 to create an account and do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without the consent and at the direction of a parent.
Please contact us if you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent so that we may delete the information as soon as possible.
