What children see inside Joey Books
Joey is designed as a focused reading space, not another open-ended screen.
Vetted published books
Children read vetted published picture books inside Joey Books. It is not an open web browser, social feed, video platform, or place for random web content.
No ads or feed mechanics
Joey Books is ad-free inside the child reading experience. Stories have natural stopping points, without feeds, autoplay, or unrelated videos pulling children away from books.

Adults stay in charge of accounts, child profiles, billing, and privacy requests.
Parent-managed accounts
Adults create and manage Joey Books accounts, child profiles, billing, and data requests. Children do not sign up for Joey Books themselves.
Child profile data
Child profiles may include a child's name, reading level, reading buddy, reading activity, and progress. We use this to provide Joey Books, personalise the reading experience, and help parents understand usage.
Data deletion
Parents can request access, correction, or deletion of account and child-profile data by emailing hello@readwithjoey.com from the account-linked email address.

What sits outside the child reading space
Website analytics, subscriptions, and formal documents stay separate from the child reading experience.
Public website tracking
Our public website for adults may use analytics and advertising measurement tools to understand visits, page views, and campaign performance. These tools are separate from the child reading experience inside Joey Books.
Billing and cancellation
Subscriptions are managed through the billing provider used to start the subscription. Deleting the app or deleting account data does not automatically cancel billing.
